Adobe On The Prairie

It's not Taos, but it's our very own adobe on the high plains. It's home.

They say home is where the heart is.

And, a lot of love lives here.

    1. It's special alright, Bernard. For YEARS now, I've wanted to live in Taos. We had our eye on this lone adobe in town. We'd bicycle ride by it all the time when we first moved here, 14 yrs ago. Then one day, there it was. A 'For Sale' sign! That was 8 yrs ago. A feeling of Taos in my own backyard!
Only thing missing is a front porch, salmon smoking & you.

    1. Thanks J. Those amazing flowers and the whole yard is C's doing. I have nothing to do with the yard! Just admire it! That's all. ;)

  8. Nice words, Diana. Appreciate that.
I thought you'd like my Santa Fe style house on the cowboy prairie!
It's just perfect for us. We both have a soft spot in our hearts for the Southwest. Taos mainly.
That day, Skye took over the chiminea!

    1. Oh, you know it does, B! And most of the time, there is a breeze. Sometimes a gust! But, the Russian sage and cats mint and lavender and everything else he's planted, blends together and is carried through the open windows!
      Sweet sweet earthiness. ;)

  11. And Taos has nothing on the high plains adobe! Where else could a cat curl up in a chiminea! That is just too adorable. xx
