  1. Beautiful, white, snowy winter photos! I love your boots! I love the long, winding roads! And those views with the horses and the mountains....Wyoming in all its glory! Nevermind that it is 60 degrees here today, that is some amazing country up there!! Plus, you look so adorable all bundled up! xx

    1. Prior to going out there, it had been 60 degrees here for a week! I had planned this day trip with the thought of it staying the same, temperature wise. But no. The day before I went out there, it dumped and blew and dropped in temperature like 40 degrees!
But, I had an absolute blast out there, regardless.
      Love seeing you, Sagey!

  3. I can feel the cold, the numbing transition from coastal climate to the wide open windswept prairie under snow. I can also feel the anticipation and excitement at spotting the horses and getting just close enough to capture those lovely images. it is healing and restorative, a balm for the soul while you have a foot in two worlds. it's nice to see you drinking in the beauty, one day at a time. xoxo

    1. How is it that you have all the right words? All the time.
Two worlds, yes, I'm wrestling with the coastal heart aches and the wild horse land that keeps me sane and soothes.
I'm appreciating my life more than I ever have before as well as falling in love with this place that reminds me that I am SO alive!
Like my mom says to me, "can you walk? Then you have everything." :(
Thanks for all you are, Janet.

Seeing the ponies and running around in the bitter cold wind, smiling and laughing and shouting to the sky " I love this place!!!"

    1. Of course you are! I thought of you when I read that quote. I thought of ME!
But, I've decided to change my mind on that. But, I'm getting out my t shirts and Arizona birkenstock sandals and counting the days to Spriiiiiiing!!!! ;)

  9. Learn to LOVE that Winter, baby!! There's something very *right* about having four strong seasons, and I try to let my spirit take note. I rest and nurture and dream and plant during the Winter what I want to tend and manifest in Spring; in the fat, high Summer I gather the rewards of those efforts, and in Autumn feather my nest to prepare and hibernate a new batch of ideas and growth, and allow myself to rest.
And, oh my goodness, that photo of the lone black wandering away in the snow. My heart...

    1. I once thought I only wanted to live someplace warm, warm, warm.
I don't think like that so much anymore. It's growing on me, Brandi! This winter thing! And I'm so glad I've resounded to live and let live and embrace the pretty white stuff. It IS SO PRETTY.
Speaking of pretty....that lone black mustang! Yikes

Glad you could visit and admire something so different than what you're used to. It's quite incredible, this place I call home, isn't it?
Someday you will have to watch the galloping horses for yourself! It's a wild feeling!

    1. Me too, Beate. I'm appreciating the seasons finally! I don't know why, but I'm more accepting of the winter these days. Lucky for me because we get brutal winters here in Wyoming.
I could stay and watch the horses all day long, too. Sometimes I shed a little tear when I turn away from them and leave. Seriously.

  13. Your comments always make me smile. I have definitely been dreaming about moving somewhere hotter but it will remain a dream for now until I have some more money and means to travel, but who knows, maybe I could start my new adventure in another country? ;) Thank you as always for uplifting words! - Tasha
