Doing A Little Meadow Hopping

...and bone painting.
I discovered a new side of Green Mountain today.
That's where we found the Spirit band. Jigsaw had her baby! Foal names, anybody?
Mama Jigsaw still looks like a barrel.
Hi Tuffy.
Milk is also the daughter of Jigsaw. Well, we thought so until now. Milk is a boy. A mama's boy at that.
Here is Milk and Rustee and her sleeping foal, Jigsaw and her new foal.
We found this stallion and his foal just hanging out by themselves in a remote area. I kept asking the same question over and over, "I wonder where the mama is?"
If you follow this old dirt road it will lead you to the Red Desert.
One leg and hoof. Nothing else.
Cinnamon stallion is partial to blondes.
This is the second time I've seen a coyote in the same area. Most likely the same one.
Like mother like daughter.
The rich colors of this band! They were very wary of our presence. I didn't feel like bugging them, so we didn't stay very long.
I got a new Daypack. I went with Granite Gear.
I just call him Big Ears. Or is it Big Eyes!
Last but not least, BEAST!

Red Feather Revisited

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to

It's true

~ Brandi Carlile

Morning light, hummingbird buzz, Raven call, rabbit rustle & coffee with honey.

A vintage 1951 Royal Spartanette trailer I call the Silver Moonbeam. She's looking real good.
Boulders crags & slabs surround her.
There was never a formal street sign before. I'm not sure I like it. I used to say I lived in the mountains at the end of a dirt road. Now, I live on a road with a name.
I am Yellow Wolf.
Kind and quiet rabbits are among all the wildlife that wander through our land.
A singing (begging) chipmunk.
New aspen trees are shooting up everywhere! So are the wildflowers and Dogwood.
I laughed so hard when Chad found some "long-distance-dog-sticks" to roast mango-jalapeƱo brats over the fire with.
'Floatin' like the heavens above, it looks like muskrat love.'
Red Feather is moose country.

And in case you were wondering, I did not see "Peaches" the black bear. But, I did see some paw prints right after the rain.
