The Hors People! Don't you love the story...Yes! The Hors People! Don't you love the story about the Horse People?!
I know, Sheree. The situation with the wild horses is going awry. The public is being brainwashed by lies repeated by (some, not all) BLM and ranchers.
The truth is, there are NOT too many wild horses. The millions of acres can support them. Like the Buffalo, once.
If the BLM and horse advocacy groups AND the Rock Springs Grazing Association would communicate, there could be a wonderful compromise. The Challis, Idaho wild horses are just one example of how successful working together can be!!
Yadayada.
Love ya, my mustang lovin' friend in the desert.
xprairiegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10693890864889350222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342078269405900248.post-24018299171844469952017-03-29T07:47:19.231-07:002017-03-29T07:47:19.231-07:00THAT right there is the most thoughtful and honest...THAT right there is the most thoughtful and honest description of how the essay made you feel. Of course, I don't have to tell you I did cry when they followed. I whimpered a lot that day.
And now, so often when we visit the herds, some bands still follow us a few yards for a special send-off. They are really, really cute when they do that.
Thanks ever so much for allowing the words and the imagination soak into your bones for awhile.
xOprairiegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10693890864889350222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342078269405900248.post-51580091771013814452017-03-28T18:49:34.154-07:002017-03-28T18:49:34.154-07:00gosh. that story has me wanting to sit still for a...gosh. that story has me wanting to sit still for a bit and let it all soak into my marrow.
to think that these scrappy, scarred, unkempt, beautiful horses followed you as you turned to leave. right there, i would have broken into tears. i don't think i could have left.
thank you, both, for this. now i don't want to let anything else into my mind except for these wild horses.
xO
pencilfoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07411531246036310697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1342078269405900248.post-89428493024257759722017-03-28T07:25:20.493-07:002017-03-28T07:25:20.493-07:00My heart 3was pounding as I read about the mustang...My heart 3was pounding as I read about the mustangs, the stampede, and the plight of these magnificent animals. The very folks whose livelihood started on the backs of horses whose ancestors live wild and free. Human greed is pathetic. God bless the horse people. I hope we can save them.
Thank you for sharing this Lynn!
xxA Wild Western Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04848787507422547237noreply@blogger.com
