Pier Party

Every ounce of my my being has been focused on the Wild Horses, but that's not all that's going on.

Shall we switch gears for a brief time?

Let's take a stroll on the Pier in Avila Beach.

My mom! There is no better person on the planet than my mother.
She is pure joy.
My dad on his 96th birthday!
The word 'amazing' is overused, in my opinion.
But, in this case, my father is truly AMAZING!
If you met him you'd know what I mean.
Have you ever seen a seagull's tongue before?
San Luis Obispo was bursting in beauty.
Especially after a very wet winter.
California did not disappoint.

  1. Happy belated birthday to your wonderful father! 96! That is quite the accomplishment! Love the picture of you 2. You look so HAPPY! Looks like fun was had by all, even the seagulls:-)
Isn't SLO just wonderful! I love that area with the rolling hills and oaks. I keep telling Mike we need a coastal trip one of these years. (He keeps reminding me that I am the one obsessed with MT/WY/SD, but I will get that out of my system in the next couple of years) I am so longing to see the ocean again. Not the busy, boring SoCal beaches, the wilder ones the further you go north.
    I love your moose shirt!
Sea Raven! Great name for a boat!
Oh those succulents are just beautiful!
Very happy you had such a great trip and thanks for a dose of the beautiful CA coast!

    1. Yes, you are like me. Wanting to go, go, go.
Being such a wild horse-crazy girl, you could go to the beach AND see the rescued mustangs at Return To Freedom, not too far from where my folks live! Hang out with Neda...have her give you a tour of her wild horse sanctuary. I know you follow that group. It would be so fun! :)

    1. Hey Sagey. Like they say, life is a beach.
It really was lovely to be in salty air and see all the tropical-ness.
      My folks are fantastic.

    1. Hehe. Diana, they really are the cutest people. I admit, being their daughter feels like a privilege. ;)
It was a good time out in Cali. But, Wyoming "feels" better. Too many peeps!
