And the journey continues.
Last month my parents celebrated their anniversary. They have been married for 66 years.
In this picture, my mother is 22. She is even more beautiful today. That smile!
In this picture, my father is 27. Good looking and full of life, with his nose in a book. Always.
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

ReplyDeletehow funny. your mom smiling so beautifully at the camera, your dad so lost in a book. this would be me and mister pencilfox, only with him smiling at the camera, me, lost in a book.
ReplyDeletehope you had just the bestest-ever thanksgiving….
i am thankful to know you.
an armful of love to thee. xO
gosh, lynn... this post just made me realize that my own parents would have been married 67 years in november. i can't believe that. we lost my mom quite suddenly in 1970, just four days after christmas. always and forever makes this time of year so bittersweet.
ReplyDeletei'm so happy for you that you still have both of them! I'm happy for them, too. congratulations to them-- that's something to be really proud of!
happy anniversary to your parents!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of your parents, so young and full of hope for the future. I am so glad they have spent so many happy years together surrounded by their wonderful family xx
