Crow calls me every morning.
Then I hike the hills to watch the sun come up.
There are lots of pretty flowers that bloom this time of year in California.
I did not give a peanut to that bird although I would have gladly.
Palms and pines.
Just after sunrise the wild turkeys come down from the trees, make their way along the creek then take a walk around the neighborhood my folks live in. They've become accustomed to me by now and they let me tag along. They make such funny noises, communicating. The Toms behavior in attracting a mate is fascinating. They drag those stiff bottom feathers along the asphalt making quite a racket. I suppose that's one way to get their attention!
It seems there are a lot of cat lovers in this area. I've named this one Bali.
I don't know his name but I shall call him Tangarine.
I've been keeping my eye out...but, no luck.
This one I named Tiger Lily.
Back home, our squirrels are red and much smaller.
Eucalyptus trees are tall, beautiful and so fragrant. The climate here is similar to Australia, where the trees orginally came from.
Isabella wishes she could go outside and play.
I did spend some time barefoot at Pismo Beach. However, I did not find a single Sanddollar.
Writing down the bones at Scout Coffee. Letter writing is healing.
Above my table was this arrow mobile, I thought it was really awesome.
