Red Feather Revisited

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to

It's true

~ Brandi Carlile

Morning light, hummingbird buzz, Raven call, rabbit rustle & coffee with honey.

A vintage 1951 Royal Spartanette trailer I call the Silver Moonbeam. She's looking real good.
Boulders crags & slabs surround her.
There was never a formal street sign before. I'm not sure I like it. I used to say I lived in the mountains at the end of a dirt road. Now, I live on a road with a name.
I am Yellow Wolf.
Kind and quiet rabbits are among all the wildlife that wander through our land.
A singing (begging) chipmunk.
New aspen trees are shooting up everywhere! So are the wildflowers and Dogwood.
I laughed so hard when Chad found some "long-distance-dog-sticks" to roast mango-jalapeƱo brats over the fire with.
'Floatin' like the heavens above, it looks like muskrat love.'
Red Feather is moose country.

And in case you were wondering, I did not see "Peaches" the black bear. But, I did see some paw prints right after the rain.

  1. It is heaven there - so much wildlife, beautiful flora and peace. And if you have to live on a named road, Yellow Wolf Way is a pretty cool name! :)

    1. Yes, I forget how much I love it there. Then, when I get there, I never want to leave! Going to have to do something about that. Put a tiny woodstove in there and I won't have to. ;)
ALWAYS great to have you here.

    1. You are definitely a green gal. You would fall into all the green and it would hug you back, Sagey.
Turns out, im getting to where I am longing for more & more rain and more green and cooler temps! Can you believe it? I WANT to be a desert rat, a roadrunner, but I think I'm turning the other way!
The moonbeam is the perfect refuge for me.

  4. Man, I can only imagine what the moonbeam sees when no one is around. All those animals and growth and weather. So beautiful. We hit Colorado for a week at the end of this month for Austins 3-0... were driving, camping, mountain biking, and paddle boarding the whole way.. every place me go I'm sure I will be imagining my own moonbeam.. parked back at the end of that road, nestled in the wild earth, keep the secrets of the tiny world around it. Miss you and hope you are well, dear! xx
