Like winds and sunsets, wild things were taken for granted until progress began to do away with them. Now we face the question whether a still higher 'standard of living' is worth its cost in things natural, wild and free. For us of the minority, the opportunity to see geese is more important than television.

Beautiful! Bird watching is such a peaceful activity. And I LOVE that shot of the single bird on the wire. I'd hang that on my wall!

The bird on a wire is my favorite one, too!
DeleteThanks a bunch. 💙
Isn't nature the best show? I could watch birds all day - such a blood-pressure lowering activity. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, dear!

Like watching fish swim around in a tank at the doctor's office. :))
DeleteBirding is always fun. Great memories from my birding kick in the mid-'90's. One of the few things I would get up early in the morning for;-)
ReplyDeleteYour scenes do bring a sense of peace. I love this:-)

Ah, so it's BIRDS that coax you out of your slumber! I'll keep that in mind.

love this channel. shall subscribe to it. [~wink.]
ReplyDeletei believe this is why my favourite room in the pencilfox house is my large project room, with its south-facing window and a large table. i can become lost in staring out the window at the birds flitting here and there. sometimes they even come perch on the trim outside the window!!

Yeah, I love that maker-space you have. Sunny window, view of trees and little birds. Have you thought about building a window ledge outside and sprinkling some birdseed? What a show whilst knitting or sewing felt birds, or writing. ;)
